River Sound Sells Its 100th Home!

Neal CommunitiesDecember 22, 2009 – Neal Communities newest neighborhood, River Sound, has sold 100 homes, in less than one year. The River Sound community began sales in February, 2009 and by November 13, 2009 has sold 90 of the planned 182 homes, with the 100th contract signed on December 21. This is an impressive pace of more than two contracts signed per week. Prices start at $129,900 and include cottages as well as traditional single family homes (more…)

A mentor once told me that when a buyer wants to buy and a seller wants to sell it doesn’t matter if the purchase and sale contract is written in crayon with typos, mistakes and conflicting clauses. The closing will be a smooth success. On the other hand, he said if a buyer or seller wants out of the contract they can probably get out of what seemed to be an iron-clad contract. Europeans Again Interested in Florida Homes

Low prices, good service and a lot of sunshine recently led Susanne Solling, a Norwegian, to buy a three-bedroom home in Palm Bay, Florida, midway between Jacksonville and Miami. She paid $165,000, plus $70,000 more for furniture and a pool. In September, the company wrote 28 contracts for new homes versus 6 during September 2008.
